What’s up my dudes? Welcome to my blog. My name’s Carli and I’m so pumped to finally start blogging. I know I’ve gone through the same vicious cycle of starting a blog, writing posts, then deleting previous versions of said blog since my senior year of college.
I’ve wanted to create an outlet to talk about my love of film, television, and entertainment as well as document my life on the day-to-day… and hopefully help or inspire someone along the way. So, what better time than the present? A blog is the perfect jumping off point for this exact kind of yearning of creative expression. (Ew that was a lame way of putting it. But, I’m a Cancer — so I guess I’m not surprised by that.)
Before I delve into the fun stuff, it’s most definitely important that all you guys, gals, and non-binary pals get to know me a little bit.
I’m in my late 20s and I currently reside in Northern Florida, where I’ve resided for the past 18 years, which is the longest I’ve lived anywhere. (I’m part of a military family that’s moved from place to place every 3-4 years.) I’m a graduate of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville (SWOOP!), where I got my degree in Multi-Media and Film Production. During my 4 years at UNF, I was an active member of the campus’ chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta. (Which I love dearly and holds a place in my heart forever and always.)
Nowadays, you can catch me watching endless reruns of Criminal Minds (and possibly ogling over Matthew Gray Gubler and Shemar Moore in the process), binging JennaMarbles and Philip DeFranco’s latest content on YouTube, or eating up all of the film entertainment news I possibly can from Collider and all of its sister channels. Astrology and Tarot have become guilty pleasures of mine in recent years and never in a million years did I think I’d slowly turn into Sybil Trelawney from Harry Potter (oh that’s another thing — I’m a massive Harry Potter fan!)
Now that you’ve got a little (I.E. A LOT) of basic information on yours truly as well as little insight into what to look for in my corner of the World Wide Web, I can easily say that I’m excited for this new journey we’re about to embark on together. Let’s get started!
